30 Second video analysis: Eminem- Beautiful.

 

 

First shot of Eminem’s video “Beautiful”.  Within the first few shots of the video there is silence as Eminem explores the abandoned building. In my opinion i find these shots quite creative because it has an impact on its audience in a specific way. One main thing these shots do is make the audience ask questions such as why is that building so significant.

These two shots show Eminem walking into an abandoned building, these shots show within just seconds of each other but has a good effect in how they are are two different shot types. So you have got the mid shot on the left and then seconds after you have the long shot showing him entering this setting.

This shot continue from the previous shots and doing the same style from going from a mid to long shot. It also continues the silence, so therefore the audience are starting to wonder why the song has not really begun yet.

This shot now shows how he has a "private place" where he can be alone, so these shots as a hole tell a story because he is rapping about his past but he is telling the audience that his past is all around him and by the looks of it this place obviously used to mean somthing to him.


This 30 second analyisis shows a range of different shot types in which are all in the same setting but they all tell a different story.
These shots show that the setting is very important because it needs to link to its genre and to the lyrics in which the song holds.

By looking at this music video i can see what expectation in which this genre expects and i can accomplish this by looking at these different genres.
